In-Game Events

How ZooRPG events work, where to view them, and how to read event details.

In-Game Events

ZooRPG includes timed events and announcements that appear directly inside the game.

Where to find events

Open the Events view in-game to see:

  • Active โ€” events currently running
  • Upcoming โ€” events scheduled to start soon
  • Past โ€” events that already ended

Opening event details

Click any event card (from Dashboard or Events view) to open full details.

Details include:

  • event title
  • full message/description
  • category + type
  • start/end time
  • current status

Common event categories

  • announcement โ€” general updates
  • event โ€” gameplay event windows
  • maintenance โ€” service notices
  • patch โ€” update notes
  • community โ€” player/community highlights
  • seasonal โ€” holiday/seasonal content

Common event types

  • info โ€” neutral information
  • boost โ€” bonus-style events
  • warning โ€” heads-up notices
  • outage โ€” disruption notices
  • celebration โ€” positive milestones
  • season โ€” season-specific messaging

Maintenance banner behavior

When maintenance is announced, a global in-game banner appears with the current status.

  • Notice mode: informational update only, normal play continues.
  • Maintenance pause mode: actions that change game state can be temporarily unavailable until service is fully restored.

Always check the latest maintenance message first if something seems unavailable.

Incident timing and live updates

When incidents are active, timing is shown in your game view so you can react quickly.

Tips:

  • Use Local Zoo Time in the game header as your source of truth.
  • If you prefer AM/PM style, change your clock format in Settings.
  • Incident windows are real-time, so delayed responses can carry ongoing penalties.

Tips for players

  • Check Upcoming to plan around bonus windows.
  • Check Active before spending resources.
  • If something changes unexpectedly, look for maintenance/outage notices first.
